🌴 Queensland Getaway – January 12–19 ✈️

Get ready for an amazing 8-day Queensland adventure! This trip is all about having fun, trying new things, building independence and making great memories with friends.

🏡 Day 1 – Arrive & Settle In
Fly to Queensland, unpack, organise our rooms, grab our groceries and settle into our home for the week.

🎢 Day 2 – Movie World
A full day of rides, attractions and fun at Movie World, followed by dinner out together.

🌴 Day 3 – Rest or Explore
Choose to relax and recharge or head out and explore the Gold Coast.

💦 Day 4 – Wet’n’Wild
A fun-filled day of waterslides, pools and attractions, with something for every thrill level.

🦆 Day 5 – Aquaduck or Rest
Explore the Gold Coast on the Aquaduck or choose a relaxing day to recharge.

🐨 Day 6 – Australia Zoo
Spend the day exploring Australia Zoo, meeting incredible animals and enjoying everything the zoo has to offer.

☀️ Day 7 – Rest Day
Time to slow down, relax and enjoy some downtime after a busy week of adventures.

🐠 Day 8 – SEA LIFE
Finish our getaway with a visit to SEA LIFE before wrapping up an unforgettable Queensland adventure.

Throughout the trip, participants will be encouraged to make their own choices, look after their belongings, follow daily routines, help with meals and shopping, socialise with friends and build confidence being away from home.

🌊 Wye River Escape February 26 – 28

Get ready for an unforgettable 3-day coastal adventure at beautiful Wye River! This getaway is all about getting outdoors, trying new things, spending time with friends and having plenty of fun by the beach. ☀️🌊

During our stay, we’ll make the most of everything Wye River has to offer. We’ll be hitting the beach for surfing and boogie boarding, giving everyone the chance to catch some waves, have a laugh and maybe even learn a few new skills along the way. 🏄‍♂️

We’ll also spend some time fishing, enjoying the beautiful coastline and seeing who can get the catch of the day! 🎣 Whether you’re experienced or trying it for the first time, it will be a great opportunity to relax, enjoy the outdoors and have some friendly competition.

There will be plenty of time for swimming, beach games, exploring Wye River and discovering some of the beautiful surrounding areas. We’ll head out, see what we can find and enjoy everything that comes with being away on a coastal adventure.

Back at our accommodation, the fun will continue with group meals, games, music, relaxing and hanging out together. Participants can help choose what we do, what we eat and how we spend our time, making the getaway enjoyable for everyone.

Of course, there will also be time to slow down and relax after our adventures—whether that’s chilling at the accommodation, spending time with friends or simply enjoying the beach and the beautiful surroundings.

Most importantly, the Wye River Escape is about having fun, trying something different, making new memories and enjoying a few days away with friends.

All aboard for an exciting 3-day cruise from Melbourne to Sydney! Get ready to experience life at sea, spend time with friends and enjoy everything the ship has to offer as we cruise our way to Sydney. 🌊🚢

Throughout the cruise, we’ll have the opportunity to explore the ship, enjoy live entertainment, take part in onboard activities, enjoy delicious meals, play games, relax and socialise with friends. There will be plenty happening throughout the day and evening, with participants able to choose the activities they would most like to join.

We’ll enjoy meals together, explore the different areas of the ship and, of course, take some time to relax on deck and enjoy the incredible ocean views. Whether you love getting involved in activities or prefer some quieter time, there will be something for everyone.

Travelling by cruise ship is also a fantastic opportunity to experience something different, build confidence travelling away from home, make your own choices and enjoy a new adventure with friends.

❄️ Mount Baw Baw Snow Trip June 23 – 26

Get ready for an incredible 4-day winter getaway to Mount Baw Baw! Pack your warm clothes because we’re heading to the mountains for a few days filled with snow, adventure, friends and plenty of laughs. ⛄🏔️

While we’re away, we’ll spend our days exploring the mountain, playing in the snow, building snowmen, tobogganing and enjoying everything the alpine village has to offer. For those wanting to try something new, there will be opportunities to experience different snow activities and challenge yourself along the way.

After our days out in the snow, we’ll head back inside to warm up, enjoy group dinners, games, movies and time relaxing with friends. 🔥🍿

There will also be plenty of opportunities for participants to make their own choices, try new experiences and enjoy being away with their friends in a completely different environment.

🦁 City / Safari Adventure 🦒6–8 August | 3 Days, 2 Nights

Get ready for an unforgettable City & Safari Adventure, combining the excitement of exploring the zoo with a night under the stars and a Melbourne City getaway!

Our safari adventure will begin with time spent exploring the zoo and discovering the incredible animals and habitats along the way. We may see lions, giraffes, elephants, monkeys, gorillas, zebras, reptiles and many more amazing animals as we make our way through the different areas of the zoo.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore animal trails, wildlife exhibits and different habitats, learn interesting facts about the animals and their environments, and keep an eye out for feeding times, keeper talks and other special experiences happening during our visit.

As the sun goes down, our adventure continues with an incredible night sleeping under the stars at the zoo! We’ll experience the zoo in a completely different way, listening to the sounds of the animals and enjoying the excitement of staying overnight surrounded by wildlife.

The next part of our adventure takes us into Melbourne City, where we may explore some of the city’s famous sights and attractions. We could visit places such as Federation Square, Southbank, the Yarra River, Melbourne’s laneways, shops and other city attractions, depending on our itinerary.

We’ll enjoy meals together, explore new surroundings, spend time with friends and experience what it’s like to stay away from home for two nights.

Along the way, participants will be encouraged to build independence, confidence, social skills and everyday living skills, including looking after their belongings, making choices, following an itinerary, ordering meals and navigating new environments.

From spotting incredible animals and exploring the zoo to sleeping under the stars and discovering Melbourne City — this camp is packed with adventure, new experiences and memories to last a lifetime! 🦁

🚢 Echuca Adventure 11–13 September | 3 Days, 2 Nights

Pack your bags and get ready for a 3-day, 2-night adventure to beautiful Echuca! This getaway will be filled with sightseeing, new experiences, great food, friendship and plenty of fun.

During our stay, we’ll explore everything Echuca has to offer. We may wander through the historic Port of Echuca, explore the Murray River, see the famous old paddle steamers and discover some of the town’s local shops, attractions and beautiful riverside areas.

One of the highlights may be cruising along the Murray River aboard a paddle steamer, taking in the scenery and experiencing a special part of Echuca’s history. We may also visit local attractions, enjoy riverside walks, stop for a café or ice cream, explore the town and enjoy some fun group activities.

In the evenings, we’ll settle into our accommodation, enjoy dinner together and spend time relaxing, playing games and catching up with friends.

Throughout the trip, participants will be encouraged to build independence, confidence, social skills and everyday living skills through looking after their belongings, making choices, ordering meals, managing spending money and being involved in planning our days.

🐊 Zookeeper Volunteering & Certificate 🦘

19–23 October | Australia Zoo

Get ready for an incredible 5-day wildlife adventure featuring a truly unique Zookeeper Volunteering Experience at Australia Zoo!

This is more than just a visit to the zoo. Participants will have the opportunity to step behind the scenes, work alongside the zoo team and experience what goes into caring for animals each day. Across the program, participants will take part in practical volunteering activities, animal care tasks, wildlife education and some unforgettable up-close animal encounters.

🦅 Birds & Enrichment
Participants may assist with maintaining bird enclosures, preparing enrichment activities and scatter feeding while learning how enrichment encourages natural behaviours and supports animal wellbeing. There will also be opportunities for special bird encounters and keeper chats.

🐍 Reptile Experience
Head behind the scenes to learn about reptile care, assist with food preparation and help prepare areas for animal encounters. Participants may have the chance to meet snakes, a Star Tortoise and a Blue Tongue Lizard while learning about their habitats, behaviours and care.

🦘 Kangaroo Care & Feeding
Help prepare kangaroo food, organise supplies and assist with animal-care areas before heading out for a kangaroo feeding and meet-and-greet experience. Participants will learn about their diets, behaviours and everyday care.

🐾 Wombat Enclosure Experience
Get involved with the real work of animal care by helping clean and maintain the wombat enclosures. Learn what is required to keep their environment clean, comfortable and safe before enjoying a special wombat encounter.

🦤 Cassowary Experience
Discover one of Australia’s most fascinating birds while assisting with cassowary food preparation and packaging meals for the week. Participants will learn about their specialised diets, safety procedures and conservation before observing a feeding experience.

🐨 Koalas & Habitat Maintenance
Spend time around the koala walkthrough, assisting with light gardening and maintenance while learning about koala habitats, diets and conservation. Participants may then have the opportunity for a special koala meet and greet.

🌿 Behind the Scenes at Grace’s Bird Garden
Explore areas of the zoo that visitors don’t normally experience. Participants may assist with gardening and upkeep while discovering the work that happens behind the scenes to create safe and enriching animal environments.

🐊 VIP Crocodile Show
Experience the excitement of Australia Zoo’s famous crocodile show from the VIP section! See these incredible animals in action while learning about crocodile behaviour, safety and conservation.

😈 Tasmanian Devil Care
Help create enrichment treats and prepare food for the Tasmanian Devils, including portioning and storing meals for the week. This is a great opportunity to learn how planning, nutrition and enrichment all form part of professional animal care.

🎓 Zookeeper Volunteering Certificate
At the end of the experience, participants will celebrate everything they have achieved and receive a Certificate in Volunteering, recognising their participation, hard work and contribution throughout the program.

Throughout the trip, participants will also be developing valuable skills in teamwork, responsibility, communication, following instructions, workplace safety, independence and daily living.

This is an incredible opportunity to go beyond the visitor experience and discover what working with wildlife is really like.

Pack your bags because we’re heading to Adelaide for an exciting 3-day, 2-night getaway! This adventure is all about exploring a new city, trying new experiences, building independence and making some amazing memories with friends.

During our stay, we’ll get out and explore some of Adelaide’s popular sights and attractions. Depending on our itinerary, we may visit the Adelaide Zoo, Adelaide Central Market, Rundle Mall, Glenelg Beach, the beautiful River Torrens and some of Adelaide’s parks and gardens.

We may spend time exploring the zoo, discovering animals from around the world and learning about wildlife and conservation.

🏖️ Glenelg Beach
Take a trip out to the coast to explore Glenelg, walk along the beachfront and jetty, browse the local shops and perhaps stop for an ice cream by the water.

🛍️ Rundle Mall & City Exploring
Explore the heart of Adelaide, check out the shops, discover some of the city’s landmarks and enjoy the atmosphere of a new city.

🍓 Adelaide Central Market
We may wander through the famous market, discovering fresh produce and different foods while giving participants the opportunity to practise making choices and purchasing items independently.

🌳 River Torrens & Adelaide Sights
Enjoy some sightseeing around the River Torrens and explore Adelaide’s beautiful parks, gardens and city surroundings.

🍽️ Dining Out & Evening Activities
Our adventure doesn’t stop when the sun goes down! We’ll enjoy dinners together and may head out for an evening activity or relax at our accommodation with games and time together.

Throughout the getaway, participants will be encouraged to build confidence, independence and everyday living skills by packing and looking after their belongings, following an itinerary, managing spending money, ordering meals, making choices and navigating unfamiliar environments.
